How to shift the feelings of ‘ENOUGH!’ so you can get on with your life.
If you’ve had enough. If you want to make changes, but just don’t know how. If you want things to change, but you don’t want to rock the boat, or disrupt anything.
Then read on.
There are a number of ways to improve things, but the one I want to speak about today is…
Being able to say what you need / what you feel / what you desire is such an important skill in EVERY AREA of life.
Yet, it can be complicated, hard and challenging to be able to speak in a way that feels good.
Imagine, your partner is driving you crackers. And all attempts to change the way things are between you end up in an argument, “you said, you did, I feel…”. Or maybe it’s just too hard to get your point of view heard, that you just stop talking altogether.
Imagine, you’re discussing Christmas plans with family – and there’s one member that always makes it difficult for you. Perhaps they have strong views, inappropriate behaviour or belittle & offend you. How do you handle that? Without exasperation, frustration and declaring that you’re never spending Christmas with them ever again?
Or, perhaps at work you have a colleague who consistently undermines you, irritates you and makes your work life hard work. Having an argument in the office is only going to feel childish or unprofessional. So, what do you do?
I can help. I have a range of techniques that support you in finding the right phrases to set boundaries.
I have tools that help you clear your voice, and use it confidently.
So often, we silence ourselves in order to keep the peace. It’s just not worth the hassle to speak out.
Especially if, in the past, it’s not been received well.
So here, I suggest to you that I can TEACH you communication skills that feel comfortable, easy and dare I say it – fun to use?
And once you know how to use them – you’re going to be blown away with how easy things become. With your partner, with your friends, your colleagues and even your kids.
There’s one particular technique that actually always makes me laugh – it’s so simple!
Communicating with integrity, and honesty can lead to really strong relationships. And guess what? Removes the feelings of ‘ENOUGH!’.
What do you think? On a scale of 0 – 10 how strong do you think your communication skills are?
